Blog Post #60

If you’re anything like me and probably a lot of other people, you often don’t slow down to appreciate the little things in life. You have deadlines to meet and if something comes between you and your work, you won’t stop until it’s complete. After completing a project, it’s easy to find yourself moving on to the next without ever taking a breath. But there are things you can do in order to slow down.

Music is one of them. It can calm us down, inspire us and help us realize things, among other things. With the right music, we can appreciate life in a new light. I figured I’d share some playlists with you because maybe you’ll find some new favorites that help enhance your life on some level.

1. Bossa Afternoon

There are times when you can’t afford to be distracted, whether because you’re driving or working. But to shut yourself off completely is to miss out on part of life. To slow down your mind and free your body, try this: listen to Bossa Afternoon, a playlist built for exactly that purpose. It’s the perfect soundtrack to the kind of day where you want to relax, but not so much that you stop listening.

2. Golden Nights

Golden Nights is perfect for use at home or in the office at any time of day or night, during work breaks or just to relax, de-stress and wind down. It’s also good for falling asleep, meditating, and yoga practice. If you ever get stressed from work, try listening to some soothing music on your way home to help you decompress. It will be easier for you to fall asleep when you get home if you have listened to music earlier in the evening.

3. Relax and Meditate

This playlist is composed of songs that are easy on the ears while also being rich in soothing musical content. Relaxing music like this will not only help you calm down but also might even help you better deal with stressful situations in your everyday life. Songs with a slow tempo, soft melodies, and calming music can help you get in the right mood. Now it’s time to give yourself a quiet hour.

4. Breathe In Breathe Out

Music assists in relaxation and meditation because it helps the brain produce alpha waves which in turn induce a relaxed state in the listener. Breathe In Breathe Out compiles the best relaxing tunes into one soothing, continuous soundscape This is a perfect listen when you’re really in the mood to kick back, relax, and slow down.

5. Calm Dreams

Slow music can be played to help soothe your nerves or to help you relax. This selection of slow music is perfect for relaxing after a long day at work, unwinding before bedtime, or for any other time you want to chill out. More so, the right music can also get you into a state of flow more quickly, helping you get more done in less time. Add this playlist to your favorites for whenever you’ll be needing it.
